Here's a secret. I tend to write blog posts that take an hour to read and Facebook statuses that give you the option to "read more." Oh wait, that's not a secret? Problem is, I'm personally invested in the day to day of this organization. I see these kids thriving. I see the joy they bring their parents. I watch our staff changing lives and I just want to spell it out for you. I want to talk about it. I want to show you these incredible changes. If I had it my way, we'd be posting about 12 photos a day on social media.
Let's just say I sometimes get paralyzed by the sheer number of good things we could share.
So this is my temporary solution to the current situation: a blog post that isn't 2,000 words long with a handful of beautiful images that speak for themselves. We all win. I get to post more than 12 photos without alerting the Facebook police and you get to see the good stuff: a mix of flashbacks and follow-up visits.
This was my BEST attempt at keeping things short. If you like these updates let us know!
And for a slightly longer, more general update about what we're up to check out our 20 for 40 campaign. From now until June 20th all donations made to Second Mile Haiti will be matched! It's a great time to give.
